TOP THREE THINGS TO SAVE IN YOUR PHONE BEFORE A BIG PARTY

April 1, 2022

Parties and Social Gatherings are great, and just about all of them end up with everyone having a great time. Whether you’re headed to a birthday party, a wedding, or a getaway weekend in Atlantic City, there are a few things you’ll want to at least look into before leaving.

You obviously know how to pack, lock up, feed or care for the pets… But what about some things that are far less common? With that in mind, here are the top three preparations to make before heading off to a big party or weekend away

3: Local Transportation

Knowing how you’re going to get home tops the list, but it’s number 3 since a ride home is fairly obvious. If you’re away from home, consider checking into public transportation or a taxi. If you’re in an area with Uber or Rideshare, get your app updated and check out the prices.

And have a backup plan. Sometimes your designated driver’s plans change, or weather cancels another mode of travel. Thing ahead and have a few options ready to go.

2: Drinking and Getting Wild? Save a Lawyer’s Number

If you’re headed out for a wild night or weekend that will probably involve heavy drinking, you’ll want to save a criminal defense lawyer’s number. Many attorneys offer bail bond services and Jail Release Attorney Services, which can help you get out of jail earlier than you typically would.

In many States, DWI Checkpoints are prevalent, and even if you’re not driving, the public intoxication laws vary place to place. While you don’t need to review those laws in detail, you should keep the number of a lawyer ready to go. If you’re super worried about this, write the number on your arm, since you won’t be able to take a cell phone into the jail – or, just don’t go out at all!

1: ID and credit cards

Don’t keep all your credit cards in one place. Keep an emergency card in a safe, accessible place, in case your wallet or purse is stolen or lost. While not ideal, having money when you’re in a new place will be key to getting home safe.
